Where it comes from
Cordyceps sinensis grows wild in the mountains of Asia, where it lives on caterpillars; the wild fruiting body is rare and very expensive. That is why cordyceps is cultivated as mycelium, the root-like network of the mushroom, on a plant-based substrate under controlled conditions. Our extract is made from that mycelium.
