Most vitamin D3 supplements are made from lanolin, a substance extracted from sheep’s wool fat. We choose D3 from algae, a plant‑based and more sustainable alternative. The active substance in both cases is cholecalciferol, so the effect is the same.

There are two types of vitamin K:

Vitamin K1: Found mainly in leafy green vegetables and supports blood clotting.
Vitamin K2: Contributes to normal blood clotting and also helps maintain normal bones, but is much less common in our diet.

Within vitamin K2, there are two forms:

MK‑4: Found in animal products, but only remains active in your body for a short time.
MK‑7: Is absorbed much better and stays active for longer.

That’s why we choose K2 MK‑7: the best‑absorbed and most stable form, which stays active in your body the longest.

Isomers are substances with the same number of atoms but arranged in a slightly different way. For vitamin K2 MK‑7, this structure determines whether your body can use it effectively. Trans‑isomers have the right shape, making them fully active, while cis‑isomers are less effective. That is why we use MK‑7 with 100% trans‑isomers from natto.

Vitamin D3 and K2 are fat‑soluble vitamins. This means your body absorbs them better when taken with fat. That is why we use MCT oil as a carrier (the oil in which the vitamins are dissolved). MCT is more stable than many other oils, such as olive oil, and ensures the vitamins remain well absorbed and well protected.

Softgels are convenient, easy to swallow, and ensure you always get the right dosage. They also protect the vitamins better from air and light than drops in a bottle, keeping the contents stable for longer.

Carrageenan is a thickener often used to give softgels their shape. Some people prefer to avoid it because of concerns about sensitivities. That is why we always choose softgels without carrageenan.

In most cases, you can safely combine D3 and K2 with medication. Because vitamin K2 affects blood clotting, it is important to always check with your doctor first if you are taking anticoagulants or have a medical condition.
