Zinc bisglycinate is a form where zinc is bound to the amino acid glycine. Your body absorbs this type of binding more easily, using a separate channel in the intestine. This way the zinc reaches the right place more quickly and effectively. It is also gentle on the stomach and can easily be taken with a meal.

RDA stands for Recommended Daily Allowance and is the amount needed to prevent deficiency. For zinc that is 9 mg for men and 7 mg for women. The safe upper limit is set at 25 mg per day in Europe and 40 mg per day in the United States.

With 15 mg you stay below the maximum daily amount, even if you already get enough zinc from your diet. And although we use the most absorbable form, a zinc supplement is never absorbed 100 percent.

Yes, but it is not necessary. Other forms of zinc compete with nutrients like calcium or iron in your food, which reduces absorption. Zinc bisglycinate works differently. It is absorbed through a separate channel in the intestine, so your body can absorb it well even with a meal.
